From earliest times, black men and women helped shape the frontier of this country.  Yet, their participation in American history has often been neglected.  They prospected for gold or silver, and drove cattle up the Chisholm Trail.  Black cowboys lives tell a story of skill and grit.  These men and women earned respect the hard-weary by becoming the very best at their work, being a cowboy.  Gwendolyn's program features first-hand accounts of pivotal moments in African American lives.  There are the familiar voices and there are lesser known, but no less powerful, voices that give insight and a personal look at the events and people that shaped this country.

Invite Gwendolyn and her program Power of Rhetoric to hear the untold stories of the West.
